India to host World Blind Chess Championship
The 11th World Chess Championship for the blind is to be held in Goa from October 8th to 19th. This was told to the press by Charudatta Yadav, Player-cum-secretary of the All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB). As many as 150 players from over 40 countries are expected to participate. Fifteen International Masters, three International Women Masters, six FIDE masters and 30 FIDE rated players would be taking part in this tournament that is expected to cost around Rs. One crore.
