U18 Team Championship for European Countries starts in Balatonlelle
18.07.06: The 6th Boy's and Girl's U18 Team Championship for European countries began in Balatonlelle (HUN) on July 11, 2006 and is going to continue till July 20, 2006. It has been organized by the Hungarian Chess Federation, which aims to promote chess development, and - at the same time -organize holidays as a pleasant youth summer resort at lake Balaton. The tournament is being held in - rounds SWISS system with one free day. General regulations are as per the FIDE rules for the European Team Championships. Boys and girls from Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Germany, Russia, Scotland, Finland, and Ireland are participating in this tournament.
