World
Chess Championship
It is regarded as one of the world's greatest and
coveted chess championships. Between 1886 and 1993,
there were only 13 World Champions. While, women
are eligible to hold the title there has never been
a female World Champion. There is a separate world
championship for women only, for the title of "Woman's
World Champion.
